This past Saturday we went to ASU to check out the Navy Seal Challenge. Every year the Navy goes to 5 cities to allow anyone the ages 13 and older to participate in the Navy Seal Challenge. This is a physical test that each young man must pass to become a member of the Special Ops program. Brock had to pass this test to get into the SWCC program (which he did, twice). What you have to do is
Swim 500 yards (20 laps) in 12 1/2 minutes
42 push-ups in 2 minutes
50 sit-ups in 2 minutes
6 pull-ups
1.5 mile run in 11 minutes
It is open to men and women to participate in but women are not allowed to become a Navy Seal. Brock and I were going to do it together but Brock got a call asking him if he would help out at the Challenge. I wasn't going to do is alone so I decided to take the kids down and check everything out. Here are some pics of the Navy Leapfrogs. It was really cool to see them jump out of the plane and spin around in the air. They came in so fast, it was amazing.
