Mustache Bash 2008

This past saturday was the 1st Annual Mustache Bash. It was so much fun! All the gentlemen had to grow mustaches, and the ladies had to have a "throw back" hair style. The dress code was Ugly Christmas sweaters and man did everyone deliver. It was so funny to see everyone as they walked in. Here are a few pics from the party. If you want to see more click here!!

What a lovely couple!

I tried

Ok, so I tried to take pictures of my kids and oh boy that was quite the experience. I went in thinking oh yeah I'll get some great pictures of them together looking at the camera and smiling, everything looking perfect and professional. Umm no, that did not happen. Not even close. Owen would not sit still, Marissa was making funny faces, my moms arm would be in the picture because she was trying to keep Owen from rolling down the hill, Owen crying, Marissa giving attitude (she was not having fun and she was not afraid to show it). Thanks mom for helping me attempt the impossible. Here are a few pictures of my wonderful, very well behaved children.

Owen was trying to get in and play on the playground.

Owen had burned his hand on thanksgiving and that is why he has a sock on his hand.

This is when her attitude started to show, can't you tell.

Little Chef

On the eve of Thanksgiving Marissa wanted so bad to help Grandma Frost make her traditional noodles. Marissa was assigned to be the flour girl. It was the perfect job for her because in this recipe you need A LOT of flour and she made sure we had a lot. It was so funny to watch her. It was 10:30 at night and she didn't care. She stayed and helped the entire time from start to finish. She had flour all over her pajamas! She was a great little chief, and the noodles turned out great on Thanksgiving! She cooks better then me, which isn't very hard.

Just LiKe Dad

Oh Owen....he is such a little man. Owen got a hold of Brock's D-backs hat and had to wear it like dad. He is getting quite the little personality, I LoVe it!! Oh yeah, Owen said his first word the other day and guess what it was.......Ball. Not mom or dad but ball. He is also starting to say "don't" and "no" probably because he hears it at least 50 times a day. No joke, this kid is into everything, on top on everything, and chews on everything. That's a little boy for ya.

Oh and we can't forget about Marissa!

Ok, this is just a random shot of Owen.

Trick or Treat

Happy Halloween! It finally came. Marissa has been asking me everyday for the last month if it's Halloween yet. And when the day came she wanted to put her costume on as soon as she woke up. Marissa finally decided to be a mermaid. It started out as Cinderella, then a black cat, a barbie girl, then Tinker Bell, and lastly a mermaid. Oh boy, she is a total girl who can't make up her mind. Owen was a pirate. I was lucky to get the pictures I got with his bandanna on. He would not keep that thing on. Also, he wouldn't let me draw his mustache and beard. It took me a good 5 minutes to get the little beard drawn on and once I did I wasn't about to attempt the mustache. Marissa had so much fun trick or treating. She could of gone all night. I'm glad she had a great time.

Arrr! I'm such a scary pirate!

What a stud.

What a beautiful mermaid!

Day at the Park

Saturday we took a trip to a new park that opened up in Chandler called Playtopia. It is really cool. The whole thing is covered which is really nice in this Az heat. It's sad to say that when it is the middle of October. Marissa had a blast going down the slides and running across all the bridges. Owen had a lot of fun! Hal and Ashley met us there. They don't live to far from the park. Grandma and Grandpa Frost were down for the weekend and Marissa just loved playing with them!

Owen just waiting to get out and play!

Look at me I'm so big!Owen and Uncle Hal B
Marissa and Owen ready to ride!

"Oh boy, what did I get myself into" Marissa is not sure if she wants to go down. That slide was pretty intense

Born to be Wild!!

Oh boy, we are in so much trouble. Owen is a Wild Man!! He is into everything! I can't take my eyes off him for a second. You see his little legs coming out of the cabinets. He loves getting my pans out and banging them on the ground.

Ok, so my kids seem to lack in the hair department but the little hair he does have he knows how to mess it up. He had a pretty wild nap. I love this guy!Rise and Shine little buddy!

The Great Outdoors

This weekend we had a little family camping trip. It was fun to hang out with my sister and brother. I don't get to spend a lot of time with them. Marissa had a blast hanging out with sissy and grandpa picking flowers (pink ones to be exact). Owen, well all he wanted to do is get down and eat a fist full of dirt and sticks. The weather was great during the day, but man it was freezing at night. Owen didn't like sleeping in the tent so him and I ended up sleeping in the car. All in all, we all had a great time. Marissa just asked me today if we can go camping again.
